Catherine has lived in Cumming since June 2006, when she and Dan married. She has attended NewSong since August 2006 and has worked in the Children's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Greeter and Welcome Center ministries, and occasionally fills in as an adult Sunday School teacher. Catherine is also co-leader of the Wise & Wonderful Senior Adult Ministry and in the upcoming church ministry year, she will co-lead the Prayer Ministry at NewSong. Catherine also attends the Sunday Night Bible Study.

Catherine is employed by the Forsyth County School System and teaches 7th grade life science at Vickery Creek Middle School. She has one married daughter; Dan has one son and one daughter (both married) and one granddaughter. Her church background includes: Rivermont Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga, TN (member from childhood through young adulthood); Grace Presbyterian Church and Evangelical Methodist Church, Dalton, GA (involved in children's ministries). Her current ministry goals include helping people understand their true identity and significance in Christ Jesus, and, learning more about the power of prayer and how to pray more effectively for others. Significant, personal, ministry-related scriptures include: Ezekiel 36:26-27; Isaiah 42, 55, and 61; Psalm 51:6; Philippians 4:4-9; Ephesians 1:17-21; and Ephesians 3:16-21.

Frank has been married to Peggy Garred for 27 years and they have two daughters; Amy, a student at Kennesaw State Univ. and Maggie, a senior at West Forsyth High.  Frank is employed as a Purchasing Manager with Merial Limited (an animal pharmaceutical company) in Duluth and together with Peggy owns The Sun Deck Tanning Salon in Cumming.

Frank and Peggy relocated to Cumming from Raleigh, NC in 1998.  In Raleigh they were members of Athens Drive Baptist Church where, among other duties, Frank was a member of the Deacon Board.  Frank and his family have been members of New Song for five years where Frank is a member of the Men’s Group, and serves on the usher and greeter teams. Frank is also a part of our building team and he leads our PowerPoint ministry.  Frank enjoys golf and fishing in his spare time.

Jim is married to Donna Garrett and they have three grown boys, one daughter in law and one grand daughter. A Georgia native, Jim has lived in the Cumming area since 1995 and now resides in South Forsyth County in the Glencree Subdivision. He is currently enjoying the retirement lifestyle. Before retiring he worked as a Federal Agent for 25 years as the Manager of a White Collar Fraud Unit. After retiring from the Federal Government he worked as a Regional Manager of a Special Investigations Unit with Kemper Insurance for 13 years.

Jim has attended NewSong since February, 2007 where he serves as an usher and a greeter. He also works on the refreshment set up team, the welcome center, and has been on several mission teams and outreaches. Jim also serves on the building committee. Prior to joining NewSong, Jim was a member of Creekside United Methodist Church.
